Situated on the spectacular North East coast of Skye, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Ellishadder Art Café offers a delicious freshly prepared menu, distinctive high quality art and craft work and a luxurious range of hand woven interior accessories and gifts.
Ellishadder Art Café is light, bright and airy, set in a traditional white-washed croft house. It has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, where customers can enjoy freshly prepared light lunches, award-winning home baking and a selection of fair trade coffees and loose leaf teas.
There is a strong focus on using organic, local and seasonal produce, with an emphasis on quality of flavour. Herbs, salads and edible flowers are grown in the café's garden and other produce is sourced from the "Food Link" van, which transports goods from small scale growers in Skye and Lochalsh.
Visitors can relax next to the cosy wood burning stove on cooler days, or in warmer weather enjoy the garden, vegetable beds and magnificent views from the outside seating area.
The café welcomes dogs, has disabled access, and for those travelling by public transport there is a bus stop a short distance away at the nearby Staffin Dinosaur Museum.
Overlooking the picturesque Loch Mealt and the dramatic Trotternish Ridge, Ellishadder Art Café is close to the Old Man of Storr, Lealt Falls and the Quiraing. It's signed 17 miles north of Portree on the A855 Staffin road, just north of Kilt Rock.
