After undergoing an extensive refurbishment over the winter, Melvich Hotel has reopened its doors for 2017 with a new look and a new menu.
Open to both the public and residents alike we are looking forward to welcoming all to our restaurant and public bar this summer.
Still capitalising on the incredible local larder at our fingertips, our evening menu brings you the best of Caithness and Sutherland produce while incorporating our brand new wood fired pizza menu into the hotel's offering of classic dishes.
Enjoy a delicious stone baked pizza, Mey Selections rib eye steak or local venison casserole while relaxing in the informal and comfortable surroundings of our restaurant. With an incredible view of Melvich beach and the Pentland Firth over to Orkney, you can enjoy a glass of wine, local Rock Rose gin and tonic or even a malt from the collection, while your food is freshly made to order.
Our oak fired pizza oven was added during the refurbishment and has brought a fresh new angle to the menu. Choose eating in either the public bar or restaurant, or if the weather is good, enjoy a takeaway on Melvich beach while the sun goes down – the choice is yours! Crafted using Italian secrets and delicious local meat and fish, you can design your own pizza invention or take a tip from the chef and try one of his recommendations.
Alternatively, why not pick a classic steak or daily fresh fish special, showcasing the top quality ingredients available right here on our coastal doorstep.
Food is served daily until November from 6pm Monday to Saturday, with food available in the public bar only on Sunday evenings. To reserve your table, call or contact us by email or social media on the details listed.
