SAS hero goes from undercover to book cover in Inverness and Elgin

REAL life SAS hero turned bestselling thriller writer, Chris Ryan, returns to Waterstones’ Inverness and Elgin branchches to celebrate the release of his latest novel, Hunter Killer.

Ryan, the only member of the famous Bravo Two Zero SAS patrol in the first Gulf War to escape capture, will be signing copies of Hunter Killer and his other books at noon on Monday 8th September in the Inverness Eastgate shopping centre store and at 3pm in Elgin’s St Giles Centre.

Originally from Northumberland, he was awarded the Military Medal for his escape from Iraq into Syria in 1991, the longest escape and evasion in the history of the SAS.

Since leaving the SAS in 1994 he has written several books for adults and young readers, including the non-fiction The One That Got Away, and appeared in a number of television programmes, including Hunting Chris Ryan, Pushed To The Limit and Terror Alert.
