FINDHORN POTTERY is set in the beautiful gardens of The Park, Findhorn Foundation, on the Findhorn peninsular in Moray and is created by three professional potters with more than 30 years experience in ceramics.
Belia, Lindsay, Yvonne and Murlin, the spaniel, form our friendly and down to earth team.
Our pottery is made solely on the premises and entirely by hand. This gives our pottery a tactile and sensual quality, enabling human hands to experience the human hands that created them.
Many of our customers praise our unique colours which are also designed and created exclusively in our studio. They reflect the sea, sand, moors and forests of the natural landscape of the Moray area. These colours and textures give inspiration to our potters, who follow their own creative spirit to create our distinctive pottery.
As each potter is free to create their own style, we offer a large and varied range available from our studio as well as our online shops. With regular firings our range is ever changing, making repeat visits all the more interesting.
We specialise in reduction fired stoneware pottery, fired in the kiln to 1300º centigrade. This creates robust crockery which is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. Our decorative and sculptural pieces do not seep, giving you assurance that your furniture is safe with our ceramics.
Visiting the Findhorn Pottery and then enjoying the stunning Findhorn Beach, strolling around the historic Findhorn fishing village, enjoying good food and refreshments in the excellent cafés and pubs and taking advantage of other attractions on offer on the Moray Firth make for a great day out.
Do come and visit our STUDIO SHOP which is open seven days per week – 10.30am to 5.30pm (Sundays 12 noon to 5.30pm) – during summer, and open 6 days a week during winter (closed on Tuesdays). We do of course close for Christmas, but are open the rest of December. January we close as this is our sleepy time.
You will be most welcome when you come and visit us. Our studio shop is wheelchair accessible and a toilet is available.
