Event Of The Week: Bonfire Night

Written byEvent of the week!

Bonfire Night
Bonfire Night - if only there was a Katy Perry song we could use here...

When: Wednesday 5th November

Where: Bught Park.

Why: Featuring one of the largest bonfires constructed anywhere in the UK; the spectacular annual Inverness Fireworks Display is one of the most popular events in the Highland Capital. Sponsored by the Inverness Common Good Fund, this free event on the banks of the River Ness regularly attracts crowds of between 10,000 and 15,000. The entertainment starts at 7pm around the bonfire features Fire Twirlers and a Pipe and Drums Band before a winner is chosen from all the guys submitted by the Primary Schools of Inverness at 19.25. The bonfire is lit at 19:30 and the fireworks starts at approximately 19:50.

I believe this song sums up how we feel about this.
