WHEN it comes to international chart success, Scottish bands do not come much bigger than Wet Wet Wet.

Formed in Clydebank in 1982 – at the height of their success they even sponsored their home town’s football team – they have gone on to sell 15 million records worldwide and topped the UK single charts three times, most famously with Love Is All Around, their monster hit from the soundtrack to the 1994 film Four Weddings and a Funeral, which lodged at the top of the charts for 15 weeks.

They arrive in the Highland Capital on Monday when they bring their Big Picture Tour, marking the 20th anniversary of hit album Picture This, to a close.

This will actually be the first time the Scottish band have performed in Inverness in their 34-year history, and making it even more of a historic occasion, Claire Kidger of promoters LCC Live promises this will be the biggest production staged to date at Inverness Leisure Centre.
