MUSIC venue The Ironworks is pulling a double shift on Saturday January 28 with two shows from rather different artists from home and abroad.
First up is Single By Sunday (SBS) – doors open 7pm.
SBS are a four-piece pop/punk rock band from East Kilbride, formed in July 2015. Comparisons are already being drawn with the likes of McBusted and The Vamps and Capital FM named them as Scotland’s best unsigned band. As winners of the station’s One To Watch competition they got to play the prestigious Scottish Music Awards. They also made it to the finals of the Scottish heat of Hard Rock Rising 2016.
Then at 10.30pm, The Ironworks was due to welcome fans of dance duo Mumbai Science.
But now news has come that the date is postponed.
"Due to unforseen circumstances this Saturday's show with Mumbai Science will be rescheduled - new date to be announced," the venue has stated.
So Mumbai Science will play the Ironworks - keep you posted!
Just for the record, electronic duo Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms are two Belgians in their 20s with a penchant for fast-paced electronic music. Beginning life as a punk rock band, Mumbai Science was officially born in 2010.
Over the last six years, the hard working duo have toured restlessly throughout the years, reaching some of the coolest and most respected venues and clubs in the world, from their homeland in Belgium to Ibiza, the USA, Australia and even the city that provided their name, Mumbai.
Now they can add Inverness to that list. at some future date.
