A DECADE on from the scrapping of tolls on the Skye Bridge, protester Drew Millar comes face to face with the former policeman charged with upholding the law.

Millar and ex-cop Dennis Hyndman will be joined by Iain MacDonald and John Morrison, two veteran Highland journalists who reported on the Skye Bridge campaign, for the screening of documentary film The Bridge Rising at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, on Tuesday 7th October.

The campaign against the tolls on the Skye Bridge pitted the islanders against the might of the Government and the Bank of America and the film tells the inside story with interviews with protesters, police, politicians, the toll-collector and the bridge engineer.

The screening begins at 7pm in Eden Court's La Scala Cinema and is followed by a discussion chaired by John Morrison, who covered the campaign for the BBC.
