Befrienders Highland provides 1-to-1 supported volunteer befriending across the Highlands.
These powerful friendships, offered through face-to-face social meetings in Inverness and Nairn, or by phone, letter and email across the wider Highlands, have been a lifeline for over 650 people who have benefited from the regular weekly social contact.
We have a team of amazing volunteers whose friendship helps to increase people's self-confidence and helps them to once again feel valued members of their local communities. Over the years we have seen incredible transformations in people simply because of the power of friendship offered by our volunteers. The effects of friendship can never be underestimated.
Our volunteers support people with mental health difficulties and people affected by dementia. We have volunteering opportunities at Befrienders Highland. Full training is given, and volunteer support is one of our most important commitments. For more information on becoming a volunteer, see our website at www.befriendershighland.org.uk or contact us using the details below.
