Singer David MacGregor answers the questions ...
1 What’s your best memory of playing in the Highlands?
“It was great to headline one of the stages at Belladrum a couple of years ago. Highland crowds are always up for it.”
2 Your album Now That You’re A Dancer has been included on the Scottish Album of the Year Award longlist? What’s the best thing about that for you?
“It’s a real honour to be included on a list that features so many other brilliant albums and artists. We’re absolutely thrilled to have a record that we are incredibly proud of recognised in this way.”
3 What have been the highlights of 2014 so far?
“Our Lumber Party show in Glasgow on Valentine’s Day launching our last single Who Would Want To Be Loved? was fantastic. As were the shows on the tour that followed. And getting longlisted for the SAY Award.”
4 Who is on your must-see list for Brew?
“Campfires in Winter, Siobhan Wilson, our Lost Map Records posse (Tuff Love, Pictish Trail and Randolph’s Leap) and Roddy Woomble.”
5 What is you fail-safe festival song?
“You Only Went Out To Get Drunk Last Night – there’s a simple-to-teach sing-along hook and it seems to strike a chord with folk carousing in a field.”
Kid Canaveral play the main stage at 8pm.
