MULTI-award winning British blues band, King King, will be stopping off at Aberdeen's Lemon Tree during their upcoming nationwide tour in 2015.
Joining the group on the city date on March 22 is special guest Laurence Jones.
The UK tour follows last year's release of King King's critically-acclaimed second studio album, Standing In The Shadows.
Described by Get Ready To Rock' as: "One of the most explosive rock/blues bands on the planet," King King have been the winners of the best band category at the British Blues Awards for the past three years.
The band scooped several more awards at the 2014 ceremony including, album of the year, male vocal of the year, bass player of the year and drummer of the year. In 2011, the Glaswegian outfit first broke cover as the hottest draw in British blues-rock. As co-frontman of the Nimmo Brothers, Alan Nimmo was already a towering figure on the international blues scene.
The band, meanwhile, were amongst the most skilled and respected musicians on the circuit, and in May 2011, released their debut album Take My Hand to critical acclaim.
When their second album was first released on March 25 last year, it featured eight original tracks, plus two covers. The album was rapturously received with open arms by the band's growing fan base.
