There is a change of plan for Michael Cassidy 's show at The Market Bar in Inverness on Tuesday 8th March, with support from Dr. Wook.
Michael was due to perform with his full band but due to unforseen circumstances it will be a solo acoustic set from the award winning song-writer.
The cosy gig in The Market Bar will be a warm up show for a 10 date UK tour with Eliza and the Bear and a sold out show in Denmark. It will also be the perfect opportunity for him to road test some new material.
Michael was the inaugural winner of the Gerry Rafferty songwriting award with his song The Men Who Stood Beside Me In The War. Over the last couple of years Michael has been to North America to play at the CMW and NXNE festivals. As well as these festivals Michael has also traveled the length and breadth of the UK supporting established acts such as Ben Howard, Frightened Rabbit, Amy MacDonald, Stornoway, Martha Wainwright and John Grant. Michael released his debut album My Electric Heart at the start of 2015 and is currently in the studio working on the follow up.Michael Cassidy with Band + Dr. Wook is free entry and the music starts at 10pm.
