LOCALLY based music podcaster Netsounds Unsigned is teaming up with Hootananny in Inverness to showcase the talents of the award winning Michael Cassidy.
The Paisley singer songwriter’s take on folk is characterized by his fragile, tender voice and intimate lyrics, all delivered in his distinctive brogue.
He sites a great variety of influences ranging from folk heavyweights such as Richard Thompson and John Martyn to more contemporary acts such as Rufus Wainwright and Radiohead.
Michael built on his already growing reputation in Scotland when he supported Ben Howard on his Every Kingdom UK tour.
He recently supported Kimbra on her UK tour and has also supported the likes of Josh T. Pearson, Frightened Rabbit, Amy Macdonald, Admiral Fallow, John Grant and Nathaniel Rateliff for their Glasgow shows and headlined King Tuts in Glasgow where he received great reviews.
Supporting Michael will be Inverness singer songwriter Dylan Tierney, who has been performing on the local music scene and further afield since late Summer 2012.
Dylan has played a number of Scottish gigs including a critically acclaimed performance at Stereo in Glasgow as well as appearances at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and goNorth.
Michael Cassidy and Dylan Tierney can be heard on Wednesday 26th March, at Hootananny, Church Street, Inverness. Music starts at 9pm and entry is free.
