FOUNDING members of one of the UK’s most enduring rhythm and blues bands, Nine Below Zero, will pay tribute to their own musical influences at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness in September.
Mark Feltham and Dennis Greaves took time out from Nine Below Zero – who mark their 40th anniversary next year – to release their album, Duo.
This saw them recording as a duo for the first time to celebrate their love of blues music with Feltham on harmonica, Greaves on guitar and the duo sharing vocal duties.
They have used the bare essentials to pay homage to the musicians, in particular Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, who inspired them to form a band and start writing music.
The pair come to Eden Court’s OneTouch Theatre on Friday September 16 for a night of acoustic blues.
Tickets are already on sale at Eden Court’s box office and website.
