BRITAIN'S top stand-up comedian, Michael McIntyre, will be strutting his stuff at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre's Oil & Gas Arena next year when he brings his Happy and Glorious show to the North-east for two nights.
He will play to what are sure to be packed houses at the AECC on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 24 and 25, with support from special guest Paul Tonkinson.
AECC managing director Brian Horsburgh said: "It's great that Michael McIntyre has confirmed he will return for two nights in Aberdeen.
"His previous performances have delighted our audiences.
"Tickets for the Happy and Glorious shows will be much sought-after, as he has many fans in the North-east."
McIntyre's previous tour, Showtime, was the biggest selling comedy tour in the world in 2012, playing to more than 640,000 people, including a record-breaking 10-night run at London's O2 Arena, matching pop superstar Rihanna's 2011 audience record.
McIntyre has released three best-selling DVDs: Live and Laughing, in 2008, was the biggest selling UK debut stand-up DVD of its time, Hello Wembley became the fastest-selling UK stand-up DVD of all time in 2009 – a record it still holds – and Showtime beat its competitors to the Christmas Number 1 spot in 2012.
In 2013, he performed internationally, playing to sold-out arenas in South Africa, Dubai, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and his show in Johannesburg was the largest comedy show in African history, while his Dubai shows won the 'Time Out Best Night Out Award'.
Recent career highlights have seen the clever comic make his debut as a chat show host with The Michael McIntyre Chat Show on BBC1.
His 2015 stage show promises to be his biggest and funniest tour yet.
