ONLINE comedy comes face to face with a real life audience at Ullapool’s Macphail Centre on Saturday 28th November.
Double Fringe First winner Iain Heggie brings this year’s Edinburgh show, Facebooked!, on the only Highland date of his current tour as he reveals his own relationship with the internet, one which largely involves posting wildly indiscreet monologues online.
Instead of the usual social networking stories about his day or pictures of cute animals, Glaswegian Heggie turned Facebook into a platform for his observational humour, which in turn has formed the basis of his solo stage show as he captures the spirit of the divergent characters he encounters on the streets of his home town.
The former River City screenwriter also touched on the subject for Oran Mor’s A Play, A Pie and a Pint lunchtime theatre strand with The Queen of Lucky People, about a retired teacher who turns to social media to maintain her sense of self importance.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets can be ordered in advance by calling 01854 613336.
