THE UK's favourite British Iranian and stand-up comedy subversive Omid Djalili is bringing his new show, Iranalamadingdong, to Aberdeen's Music Hall in early 2015.

The award-winning comedian, actor, television producer and writer will play the Granite City venue on Saturday, January 24.

The UK tour follows a sell-out four-week West End residency and a sold-out season at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival.

A firm favourite with live audiences, Djalili's stand-up awards include a Time Out Award and EMMA Award for best stand-up and a South Bank award nomination.

He won the best actor award at the Turin Film Festival for his lead performance in The Infidel, which also picked up a Loaded LAFTA award for funniest film and he was also short-listed for the Peter Sellers Award at the British Film Awards.

His film credits include Gladiator, The Mummy, Mean Machine, The World Is Not Enough, Alien Autopsy, Spy Game, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Grow Your Own, Notting Hill, Mr Nice, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Sex and the City 2.

On the stage, Djalili recently played Fagin in the West End production of Oliver! at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, where he took over the role from Rowan Atkinson.

He has appeared on BBC's Top Gear as a celebrity driver, guest-hosted the political quiz show Have I Got News for You and starred in his own Omid Djalili Show.

Tickets are on sale now online at, by phone on 01224 641122 and at the Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty's Theatre.
