Raasay Cottage is a stunning 19th century barn conversion located on the Road to the Isles in Camusdarach on the west coast of Scotland, near the villages of Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig.
It is a prime holiday location within easy reach of Skye and the Small Isles, Ben Nevis, Aviemore and the Cairngorms, Loch Ness and Britain's most remote pub at Inverie, Knoydart. Once you've arrived you simply won't want to leave!
This part of the Scottish Highlands is a truly stunning area with an abundance of wildlife, beautiful views, coastal walks and places of interest. Raasay Cottage is the perfect base for walkers, hikers, cyclists and keen fisherman, and, for those who want to be near to a larger location, Fort William is less than an hour's drive away. The Jacobite (aka Harry Potter) steam train runs in the summer from Fort William to Mallaig along the famous West Highland Line, going over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, as seen in the Harry Potter movies.
The cottage is only a short walk across the road from the amazing Camusdarach beaches (made famous by the films Local Hero and Highlander). It is one of six farm steading conversions which encircle a communal courtyard. The stone building is furnished to a high standard with a modern apartment layout. The open plan kitchen and living room provides a comfortable area for cooking and relaxing.
Whether you're spending time cuddled up in front of the wood burning stove or basking in the sunshine in the private garden, the cottage benefits from both worlds in all seasons and is suitable for couples, friends and families.
Raasay Cottage has everything you need to make your holiday luxurious and hassle free, including a flat screen TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, washing machine and microwave. The cottage sleeps 4 in total with 2 bedrooms – one double and one twin room, and one family shower room. There is a private garden with a unique heritage swing and garden furniture for relaxing.
