Catch Pulp movie that's different class

There’s a special screening of Florian Habicht's new film about Sheffield band Pulp at Vue Inverness (Saturday, 5pm).

Subtitled A Film About Life, Death And Supermarkets, the documentary follows singer and songwriter Jarvis Cocker as the band prepares to mark 25 years together with a concert in their home city's Motorpoint Arena in December 8, 2012.

Footage from the concert is mixed with interviews with locals and fans inspired by the group.

And there are revealing conversations with band members and Jarvis's mother, two elderly ladies who think he might be related to Joe Cocker - plus a look at the singer's on-tour medicine cabinet of emergency remedies.

The film explores the rise of a group - but don't expect this film to tell the full story in a simple rockumentary format.

Music magazine NME has already marked it nine out of 10.
