BARBARA Mulholland is the one who should have been dancing with joy when stars of Scottish Ballet Eve Mutso and Thomas Edwards presented her with her winning Eden Court Big Ticket.
The Big Ticket allows her free tickets to every theatre show and all films at Eden Court for a whole year, offering her a choice of over 350 live performances and more than 1000 film screenings.
"I can’t believe I’ve won – what a great way to start 2016," Mrs Mulholland of Dalneigh Inverness said.
"We love going to shows and films so winning free tickets at Eden Court for a year is fantastic. I need to dig out my brochure now and plan what to see – we’ll definitely be at Eden Court lots!"
As well as free tickets to hundreds of events through the year, Mrs Mulholland can choose from 60 classes a week on offer at Eden Court including singing, drama, writing, music and much more, and will celebrate her win with a complimentary meal in Eden Court’s restaurant.
The Big Ticket Prize Draw is run by Eden Court to raise funds for the theatre.
Everyone who made a Big Ticket donation of £5 was entered in the draw to win the impressive prize. The appeal, which continued through Eden Court’s busy pantomime season, attracted thousands of entries.
"We want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Big Ticket this year," Eden Court development manager Alison Logsdail said.
"Eden Court is a registered charity and relies on local support. All the Big Ticket donations we received will help us to keep bringing great events to the Highlands and to provide arts education across the region."
As well as the Big Ticket, Eden Court – which runs the largest creative learning programme of any UK theatre – also runs its 500 Club, which offers a chance of winning £500 every month. Entries cost £5 a month and all proceeds from the draw help support Eden Court’s arts programme.
