Highland Wildlife Park

Visit the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland's award-winning Highland Wildlife Park for an incredible adventure with over 200 amazing animals!

Get closer than ever to nature in the magnificent setting of the Cairngorms National Park.

Enjoy stunning views of the Scottish Highlands while looking out for some of the park's most famous residents, including Hamish, the first polar bear cub to be born in the UK for over 25 years, and his mum Victoria.

Daily keeper talks and animal feeds hosted by an expert team give visitors a unique opportunity to find out about endangered species like Scotland's elusive wildcats, and how you can help to save them in the wild.

Explore the park by road and on foot – you can drive though the main reserve in your own car or join the free Land Rover trail experience to see herds of Bukhara and red deer, European elk, vicuna and much more. And learn how the park is helping to bring European bison back from the brink of extinction.

Play like our polar bears in our paw-some play-park and become a warrior for wildlife, learning more about the red squirrel and Scotland's other native species when you embark on our Warrior Trail!

Highland Wildlife Park is owned and run by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, a leading conservation charity at the forefront of efforts to save the pine hoverfly, reinforce wild populations of the pond mud snail and reintroduce the beaver, which was hunted to extinction more than 400 years ago.

Every visit to Highland Wildlife Park helps to fund pioneering conservation research and science across the globe. They work to protect chimpanzees in Uganda, giant armadillos in the Brazilian Pantanal, the Pallas' cat in Central Asia, partula snails in Tahiti, northern rockhopper penguins in the South Atlantic Ocean and many other species, including those you'll find at the park.

From snow leopards to red pandas, and amur tigers to Przewalski's horses, the team at Highland Wildlife Park care for many threatened animals and provide a visitor experience unlike no other.
