Visit the 5000-year-old village of Skara Brae, which lay hidden under sand dunes undisturbed for thousands of years until revealed by a ferocious winter storm.

On your way back to the evening ferry you'll see the beautiful little Italian Chapel; crafted in wartime by Italian prisoners who were treated as friends by the Orcadian people.
