A service for women and children who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse.
We provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental service where you can access support, information and advice. Our support is individual to you, whether you are still in the relationship or having difficulties after the relationship has ended. We offer support over the phone, by email, in our office and in the community. Our qualified outreach workers will listen to you and support you to make the decisions that are right for you and your children (if you have any). We will respect your choices.
We recognise that abuse affects women in different ways and can have an impact on various aspects of your life. We will provide a person-centred service tailored to your needs. We aim to help, support and empower you to make your own informed choices and enable you to understand and move on from your experience.
Although domestic abuse happens mostly between adults, young people can be affected by the abuse that they see and hear, and they can be hurt or bullied as part of domestic abuse between adults. Young people may also experience abuse from their own boy/girlfriend. Our service supports children and young people (boys and girls) between the ages of 0 and 18.
Due to the remote geographical area of Caithness and Sutherland, we provide a flexible outreach service in a variety of ways – telephone, face to face, text and email support – to our service users. Our team can be contacted Monday to Friday during office hours. We can also offer pre-arranged support sessions that are flexible to suit an individual's personal needs and requirements.
