Barbara's third book comes out this summer

Her eco-thriller Wilderness Wars is set on a fictional Hebridean island and explores issues of conservation.

“I do put my characters through the mill in this one,” Henderson laughed.

“My two previous novels were both historical and largely based on real events.

“The single most pressing issue for the generations to come is how we deal with this planet.

“And it was fun to ask the question ‘What if nature fights back?’ – but terrifying too!”

Anne Glennie of Barbara’s publisher Cranachan agreed: “We can’t wait to launch Wilderness Wars into the world in the summer. It shows that publishers and writers from the Highlands and Islands can be a force in the market nationwide.”
