CROMARTY-RAISED singer songwriter Tamzene has just released her latest song, Best Of Me – which follows up on her last single out earlier in the year, Soldier.
The stripped-back production of piano and vocal on the track allows the raw emotion of Tamzene’s vocal to shine through.
And in these troubled times, the young singer is going to take to her Instagram to share live sessions.
Over the coming weeks, Tamzene plans to release a series of piano-based singles which will later come together in the form of a limited edition vinyl release EP Intro.
Talking about these songs, Tamzene said: “I wrote this song at home on my very old and out-of-tune piano, after one or maybe three glasses of red wine! It’s pretty raw and is a sort of ‘picking up the pieces’ lament."
“I kinda wanted to both remember and forget about the past.”
Tamzene’s earlier release Last Song featured on eight Spotify New Music Friday playlists internationally, including New Music Friday UK and USA. Spotted busking on the streets of Inverness by bookers from Scotland’s Belladrum Festival, the young musicianhas played showcase events MUSEXPO in LA, Live at Leeds, and The Great Escape, festivals Latitude, Kendal Calling, TRNSMT, and Belladrum along with Holland’s Eurosonic and Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival.
