THE full line-up for this year’s Monsterfest at the Ironworks in Inverness has been announced for Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16.

Joining headliners GUN will be one of the ‘bands of the moment’ – Massive Wagons who have recently been announced as Friday headliners at the Steelhouse Festival in Wales.

For some of the best classic rock from the 1980s, original Saxon songwriters and members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson bring Oliver Dawson Saxon.

Alongside Romeo’s Daughter and Those Damn Crows, popular Northern Irish rockers Trucker Diablo and Aberdeen blues legend Gerry Jablonski and his Electric Band also join the bill.

Completing the line-up and adding to already announced acts Haxan, The King Lot, Fear Me December and Broadsea are Glasgow’s up and coming Anchor Lane, Dead Man’s Whiskey from London and local rockers King Kobalt.

On the Thursday night before the festival, you will also be able to catch the Susanna Wolfe Band along with last year’s local representatives at Monsterfest, Bad Actress, Annakii and Devil’s Queen in a special fringe gig at the Tooth and Claw.

New city festival Monstersfest – now Monsterfest – grew from Inverness rock fan and musician Mark Allison spotting a gap in the festival market – and his appreciation of an Australian band he discovered in the 80s which became The Dead Daisies. The band along with Dan Reed Network headlined last year. The event was put together by local organisers Redelk Music and North Highland Events.

Weekend tickets are £55 plus booking fee and are available from Monsterfest at www.monsterfest.rocks or at the Ironworks. Saturday tickets will go on sale at a later date.
