Davy and Sam Cowan plan punk online gig – after Women's Aid fundraiser online this Saturday night

By Margaret Chrystall

THERE’S a chance to dance in your living-room to some punk classics on Sunday afternoon when Ross-shire musicians Davy Cowan and his son Sam play an acoustic set for an hour.

Davy said: “From Sham69 to The Clash, The Ramones to The Undertones, Madness to The Specials, SLF to Pistols, Elvis Costello to Joe Jackson and beyond. If you fancy a pogo around the living room on Sunday, then join us at 3!”

Before that the duo will play on Saturday night at 9pm when the Cowans will play a mix of Davy’s original material and covers plus requests from people who get in touch.

He said: “We're going to try and raise money with that one for Women's Aid.

“We did one last Friday night and raised over £475 for mikeysline.”
