Tickets on sale from Thursday

By Margaret Chrystall

COMEDIAN Jack Dee brings his latest stand up material to try out in Ullapool, Dornoch and Elgin as part of a Scottish tour in July.

“In these difficult and uncertain times people need hope – a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s very much where I come in,” says the comedian and actor, known for his deadpan delivery and downbeat style.

Star of TV sitcoms Bad Move, Lead Balloon and Josh as well as chair of the legendary Radio 4 show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, his credits include presenting Jack Dee’s Helpdesk on BBC2 and being the star of Channel 4’s The Jack Dee Show, Jack Dee’s Saturday Night, Jack Dee’s Happy Hour and Jack Dee Live at the Apollo.

“In fact,” explains Jack, “I’ve appeared in every single TV show with my name in the title!”

The North dates are: The Macphail Centre, Ullapool, on Monday, July 8; The Carnegie Hall, Dornoch, on Wednesday, July 10; Elgin Town Hall, on Sunday, July 14.

Tickets go on sale 10am Thursday, May 16 from www.beyondpresents.co.uk; www.ticketmaster.co.uk; and in person from the venues.
