Young singer songwriter Keir Gibson announces October Ironworks date
SINGER songwriter Keir Gibson has announced a date at the Ironworks on Thursday, October 8.
From Fort William, Keir released his debut single Eyes Wide in August last year. In the nine months that followed, he released his second single Hollow which was played on BBC Radio 1 several times by DJs Scott Mills and Molly King and was earmarked by the Scottish Sun as “Scotland’s next big breakthrough talent”. He also toured the UK.
He rounded off last year performing to 5,000 revellers at Edinburgh’s famous Hogmanay Street Party.
The 19-year-old – who lives in the shadow of Ben Nevis – has just released his third and most ambitious single to date Circles.
The track reinforces the singer’s sound, combining alt-pop soundscapes with vivid lyricism that could be mistaken for a script from the latest teen Netflix drama. Capping it all off is Keir’s emotive voice.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am May online at www.ironworksvenue.com
