LaFontaines will share hits from their third album
THE LaFontaines have been announced as the special guest for the Kaiser Chiefs when they perform in Inverness and Montrose later this summer.
Fresh off tour, the Lanarkshire-based band will take their dynamic set to Inverness (Saturday, August 17), sharing hits from their third studio album, Junior, due for release on the June 14.
Announcing their support role, frontman of The LaFontaines, Kerr Okan, said: “Oh My God, I can’t believe it, we’ve never gigged this far away from home. Inverness has always been the Ruby of our Scottish dates!”
The Kaiser Chiefs announced back in February that they would headline two massive outdoor shows in Scotland this summer, in Inverness and Montrose. Fronted by lead singer and former The Voice judge, Ricky Wilson, the indie rock band, promises “outstanding” live shows, featuring some of their best-known smash hits.
Also joining the line-up for these shows is one of the best rock’n’roll bands in the UK right now – Miracle Glass Company. The band maximises the power of three exceptional talents – with drums, bass and guitar, three lead vocals and three-part harmonies, combining to make a sound that has to be heard to be believed.
Miracle Glass Company will open each of the evenings of live music, before handing the stage over to The LaFontaines, who will thrill the crowd ahead of Kaiser Chiefs.
LCC Live is organising these Kaiser Chiefs shows as part of Live In The City, a series of concerts in Inverness this summer.
Carlie Davidson of LCC Live, said: “The LaFontaines are an absolutely amazing addition to the line-up, along with Miracle Glass Company. Each band is renowned for their entertaining live shows and we expect them to be popular special guests for Kaiser Chiefs.
“Tickets are still available for the show at Inverness’s Northern Meeting Park on Saturday, August 17.”
