The Great Food Guys Christmas Special

In the first of two festive specials, Chef Nick Nairn and Dougie Vipond celebrate Christmas by cooking up a festive feast in their country kitchen in Aberdeenshire.

Highlighting the fantastic range of food and drink Scotland has to offer, they’ll be making an alternative to turkey – Slow Roast Lamb with Rosemary and Garlic, accompanied by Potato Gratin Dauphinoise and Wilted Greens.

Nick and Dougie were ‘in a bubble’ during filming so they could prepare food together but guests were suitably distanced.

Joining them in the kitchen is special guest, panto queen and television actor, Elaine C. Smith – famous to many as Christine from Two Doors Down - to chat, taste and raise a glass.

And the tipple for this Christmas edition is Buck’s Fizz.

The show goes out on Monday, December 21 on BBC Scotland at 8pm.
